Aimee believes we all have a unique story. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe, non judgmental space for us to collaboratively explore your story and work to integrate all parts more fully. Together she believes we can create balance, meaning and greater fulfillment in your life. As co-owner of Woven, Aimee recognizes the need for a more integrative model where people are given space to connect both the mind and body. She believes this will empower clients towards healing and wholeness.
Aimee Benton earned a B.A. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University. Aimee performed her clinical internship at the Southern Nazarene Counseling Center. Aimee has received specialized training in Postpartum depression conducted by Karen Kleiman, coauthor of the book, “This Isn’t What I Expected” and founder of the Postpartum Stress Center. She is a licensed professional counselor (#5906) and has been in private practice since 2010.
Aimee has experience working with depression and anxiety, grief and loss, miscarriage, pregnancy loss, infertility, pre-marital counseling, assertiveness and self-esteem, relationship concerns, personal growth and multi cultural counseling.
